Meet Josh, a true foodie and passionate fisherman, who discovered his prospering love for the ocean in Cornwall. The admiration for ocean life was growing, as was his diversity in seafood cuisine. All the stars brightly aligned when he followed his desire to snowboard, out to Japan. He made his way from the top of the north island (Hokkiado) all the way down to a remote group of islands in the south (Okinawa) and dish by dish, followed his nose around the country. He figured there was more to Japans’ rich cuisine than just Ramen and Sushi, as a taste for street food was emerging, both there and in the UK. Josh went on to work in street-food kitchens alongside his partner (and boss) for many years before deciding to pursue his own venture and combine his passions for all to taste.

We take great pride in our dishes and our oceans, being cautious on our impact and how we deliver you the best quality and freshest produce. We focus on checking fishing methods and the import miles, matched with creating a menu that has a low impact by verifying healthy species numbers in accordance with the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council), or with good quality fishing practice and low or no by-catch rates. This can be achieved by working with local boats and Fishmongers to best support local families, communities and in the grander scheme, the planet. As we grow, we aim to put a percentage of our profits towards charities and communities helping to protect our precious oceans.

Besides our seafood range, all other stock is delivered in a small radius and from local suppliers.
